Aston Hearing has been actively highlighting the condition Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL) since 2007 when Susan Webster, the founder of Aston Hearing experienced the condition rst hand. Her story is documented overleaf. It was then brought into sharp focus again when I experienced SSHL for a 2nd time and in my only hearing ear, rendering me completely deaf – with no recordable hearing in either ear for 13 long days. Followed by what felt like a miraculous recovery on the 14th day – after completing a 2 week course of steroids my hearing returned.
