In our December newsletter

  • We appreciate that shopping for Christmas may be more difficult this year due to the lockdown restrictions, mask wearing etc. and that even going into a store may be daunting. We talk to Amy Morton, a local Mum who is passionate about helping people with hearing loss to shop more easily as she launches her ‘exemption certificate’ campaign for mask wearing.
  • Retailers are doing their very best to make it safe to shop in person, but this year online shopping has become the norm for many people. We share with you some of our favourite online options and why it’s important to shop locally as much as possible.
  • Charities have struggled to meet fundraising targets due to the pandemic and we show you how you can help raise funds as you shop online at no extra cost to yourself. We also add some ideas for how to spread a little holiday cheer in a Covid-19 world.
  • Finally, to get you in the festive mood we have a Christmas cranberry muffin recipe for you to try and of course, another great poem to round off the year.
