CASSANDRA QUIGLEY

CLINICAL EAR CARE SPECIALIST

Cassie’s journey in healthcare began as a Registered General Nurse at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, where she dedicated 14 years to various roles within the NHS, including District Nursing and specialized care in stoma management.

Transitioning to a role as a Specialist Aural Care Sister, Cassie worked closely with ENT consultants and NHS Audiology for three impactful years. Her passion for improving the lives of others through auditory care was ignited during this time.

Inspired by her early experiences as a healthcare assistant in outpatient clinics, Cassie pursued nursing with a deep sense of compassion and empathy, viewing it not just as a job but as a calling.

“I have always seen my role as a nurse as a passion and not a job. I love to help and improve patients quality of life and I feel everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness. I have gained the knowledge and experience to identify infections and other conditions which can be associated blocked ears and hearing loss.”

In her current role, Cassie identifies and addresses ear-related conditions with expertise and enthusiasm, finding immense satisfaction in restoring hearing and witnessing the transformative impact it has on her patients’ lives.

When asked Cassie expressed her favourite sounds are that of joy and laughter

Despite the unconventional nature of her work, Cassie’s dedication shines through, as she treats every individual with respect and kindness, ensuring they leave her care with brighter smiles and improved hearing.

“Some would say that I am mad cleaning people ears for a living but I get such job satisfaction from clearing the ear and improving people hearing. It ways a good feeling when someone can hear better than when they walked into clinic and the leave happy and smiling.”
